Simien Mountains

The Simien Mountains National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of outstanding natural beauty. The park encompasses a vast massif rising to 4,550 metres at Ras Dashen — Ethiopia's highest peak and the fourth highest in Africa. Its dramatic escarpments, deep valleys and rolling highlands are home to three endemic mammals: the Ethiopian wolf, the Walia ibex and the gelada baboon.
