Masai Mara
The Masai Mara National Reserve is Kenya's crown jewel and one of the world's greatest wildlife destinations. Covering 1,510 square kilometres of open grassland, woodland and riverine forest, the Mara supports extraordinary concentrations of game year-round. The reserve is home to all Big Five species and large resident populations of lion, cheetah and leopard. The annual wildebeest migration — when over 1.5 million animals cross the crocodile-infested Mara River — is one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on earth. Luxury and budget safari camps and lodges line the Mara's boundaries, offering exceptional game-viewing experiences.
