Chobe National Park

Chobe National Park, Botswana's first national park, covers roughly 11,700 km² in the north of the country and is bisected by the Chobe River, which forms the border with Namibia. The Chobe Riverfront is home to an astonishing concentration of wildlife — up to 130,000 elephants use the park, and afternoon boat cruises on the Chobe River offer unrivalled access to enormous herds, hippos, crocodiles, and countless water birds. The more remote Savuti region features a legendary marsh attracting large lion prides and wild dog packs, while the Linyanti wetlands offer some of Botswana's most exclusive and uncrowded safari experiences. Kasane, the park's gateway town, also offers easy access to Victoria Falls just 80 km away.
